Rescuing and Rehabilitating Ireland’s Bats
Bat Rehabilitation Ireland is a registered charity, and Ireland’s largest bat rescue facility. Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release all species of native Irish bats, whilst promoting bat conservation through education and scientific research. Founded by Susan Kerwin, a licenced wildlife rehabilitator and bat specialist based in Bruree, Co Limerick, Bat Rehabilitation Ireland has cared for almost 1500 bats since opening in 2019. This year Dublin Zoo was incredibly honoured to welcome Bat Rehabilitation Ireland as a new Conservation Partner, and we invite you to join us and learn all about what it takes to rescue, rehabilitate and release Ireland’s bats.
