Dinosaur Discovery - Family Experience

Calling all Dinosaur-exploring families. Come on a journey of discovery to Zoorassic World and look back in time at reptiles that lived on this planet long ago and see some of those living today. Meet Stan, our full-size Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, and learn all about this fearsome predator. Learn about the missing link that connects birds and dinosaurs. Step inside Dinosaur Discovery to carry out your very own dinosaur dig. Using specialist tools, you will uncover fossils that once belonged to these ancient reptiles.

This session requires a minium of 10 people to proceed. In the event that the booking needs to be cancelled, we will offer alterntaive dates and time.

- Our facilitator will meet at the Discovery & Leanring Centre, 5-10 minutes before the start of the session. Please have your booking reference ready to show to your facilitiator;

- You will receive an email prior to the workshop with any additional information, at least 24 hours in advance - if you book your ticket less than 24 hours in advance you will not receive an additional email (see note above for meeting point info or ask a member of our gate staff for assistance on arrival);

- Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Parent and Toddler Sessions

Start your children on their wildlife learning journey at our Parent and Toddler mornings in Dublin Zoo. Toddlers will get an opportunity to learn more about our wonderful wildlife through stories, crafts and visits to some of our habitats. 2025 sees an introduction of new times and fresh themes - a differnet one each week (see detaisl below).

12th March - Snails & Tails

26th March - Dino Detectives

Times: 9:45am and 11am

Duration: 1 hour

Forest Families 

Join us for a fun hands-on family learning experience where you will discover lots about nature. ‘Forest Families’ takes place in our wonderful nature haven called the Wild Space in Dublin Zoo.  

Forest Families is open to families with children aged between 4 and 12. In each session you will have facilitation from an expert teacher and learn about lots of follow up activities to do in your local area.
