Junior Easter Workshop
Join us for a very special dinosaur themed Junior Easter Workshop. With over 40 dinosaurs having recently found a home in Dublin Zoo, our dino-mad facilitators are excited to share all their knowledge with your 6-12 year olds.
Look at life through the life of Stan, our famous resident Tyrannosaurus Rex. Delve into the myths of dinosaurs as we distinguish fact from fiction in our investigation of dinosaurs in the movies. Finally, learn about dinosaur fossils and join us to dig for dinosaur bones. On top of this, you’ll get to see some of the 400+ animals that live in Dublin Zoo.
No contact with animals or access to habitats.
Dates: Wednesday 23rd April and Thursday 24th April (workshop identical both dates, we recommend booking only one day. We cannot offer refunds for unused tickets)
Time: 10am-2:30pm

Dinosaur Discovery - Family Experience

Bringing your family to the Zoo for our not-to-be-missed Zoorassic Trail? Spend some time with our resident dinosaur experts on Dinosaur Discovery family workshop to make your visit even more T-rexfic!
Meet Stan, our full-size Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, and learn all about this fearsome predator. Learn about the missing link that connects birds and dinosaurs. Step inside Dinosaur Discovery to carry out your very own dinosaur dig. Using specialist tools, you will uncover fossils that once belonged to these ancient reptiles.
Your ticket includes admission to the Zoo and you will be able to enjoy Zoorassic Trail as part of your entry.

Young Zoologist (teens)
Are you interested in learning more about the animals at Dublin Zoo: the different behaviours they show and how we care for them? If so, join us for a fun and interactive day of workshops to learn about the animals in Dublin Zoo and beyond.
Theme: Asian Animals - Exploring Wildlife and Conservation
Please note that there is no interaction with animals in our workshops.

Ages: suitable for 13-16 year olds

Dublin Zoo’s DES approved week-long summer course 2025: ‘Cultivating the Next Generation of Conservationists’.
This course aims to provide participants with active engagement in teaching and learning about Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) with an emphasis on conservation education. It provides participants with the skills, knowledge and confidence to teach about nature and conservation in their classrooms. The course will assist teachers in fostering positive connections to nature in their classrooms and motivating their students towards pro-environmental actions.
Topics will be delivered by expert facilitators in our Conservation Education Centre and from our immersive living classroom, the grounds of Dublin Zoo. Teachers participating will have exclusive access to our state-of-the-art teaching spaces as well as the opportunity to explore the zoo after the daily programme.
Note: this course is aimed at those who teach 3rd – 6th class.
We will have two separate weeks available to book. The content will be the same each week, we do not recommend booking both weeks. Please note that your ticket will be valid only for the date you book. We will do our best to accommodate changes to your booking but cannot guarantee a switch will be available. Please note that we cannot offer refunds for cancelled or unused tickets.

The course will run from 10am – 3pm each day
Your three EPV days are granted upon completion of the full 5 days of the course. Any deviation from this may result in the loss of some, or all, of your EPV days. Parent and Toddler Sessions
Start your children on their wildlife learning journey at our Parent and Toddler mornings in Dublin Zoo. Toddlers will get an opportunity to learn more about our wonderful wildlife through stories, crafts and visits to some of our habitats. 2025 sees an introduction of new times and fresh themes - a differnet one each week (see detaisl below).
