Duration: 60 minutes
Ever wondered if you have what it takes to be a zookeeper? Join us for Keeper Academy, a fun, hands-on family workshop where you'll discover the skills used by animal care staff every day. Investigate elephant poo to uncover clues about an animal's health, explore animal diets, create enrichment activities, put your observation skills to the test, and learn how positive reinforcement training supports animal welfare.
Then, head out on a guided visit to one of our animal habitats to observe some of these ideas in action. Along the way, you'll learn how zoos care for wildlife and how you can help protect nature too. Successful Keeper Academy graduates will receive their own certificate to take home. Suitable for children aged 5-12 accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This session requires a minium of 10 people to proceed. In the event that the booking needs to be cancelled, we will offer alterntaive dates and time.
IMPORTANT:
- Our facilitator will meet at the Discovery & Leanring Centre, 5-10 minutes before the start of the session. Please have your booking reference ready to show to your facilitiator;
- You will receive an email prior to the workshop with any additional information, at least 24 hours in advance - if you book your ticket less than 24 hours in advance you will not receive an additional email (see note above for meeting point info or ask a member of our gate staff for assistance on arrival);
- Tickets are non-refundable.
ANNUAL PASS HOLDERS: When tickets are in your basket it is unnecessary to enter your annual pass code in to the Annual Pass/Promo Box as the ticket you are purchasing is already discounted. Please proceed to the NEXT page, you will be asked for the pass code at this point. It is essential to purchase tickets for this event - you will not be able to gain entry without one.
