Dinosaur Discovery - Family Experience

Times: 11:30am and 2pm
Duration: 1 hour and 15 minutes
Ages: 3 – 8 year olds and their parents/guardians
Meet Stan, our full-size Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, and learn all about this fearsome predator. Learn about the missing link that connects birds and dinosaurs. Step inside Dinosaur Discovery to carry out your very own dinosaur dig. Using specialist tools, you will uncover fossils that once belonged to these ancient reptiles.
Your ticket includes admission to the Zoo.

IMPORTANT:
- Our facilitator will meet at the Discovery & Learning Centre, 5-10 minutes before the start of the session. Please have your booking reference ready to show to your facilitator;
- You will receive an email prior to the workshop with any additional information, at least 24 hours in advance - if you book your ticket less than 24 hours in advance you will not receive an additional email (see note above for meeting point info or ask a member of our gate staff for assistance on arrival);
- Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
ANNUAL PASS HOLDERS: When tickets are in your basket it is unnecessary to enter your annual pass code in to the Annual Pass/Promo Box as the ticket you are purchasing is already discounted. Parent and Toddler Sessions
Start your children on their wildlife learning journey at our Parent and Toddler mornings in Dublin Zoo. Toddlers will get an opportunity to learn more about our wonderful wildlife through stories, crafts and visits to some of our habitats. 2025 sees an introduction of new times and fresh themes - a different one each week (see details below).
New for Autumn 2025!!!
This autumn we are introducing a Saturday morning Parent & Toddler! The Saturday session will be at 10am for 1 hour and will repeat the theme of the most recent P&T Wednesday session.

Age: recommended for up to 3 year olds.

Creatures of the Night
Dublin Zoo blasts into Space Week 2025 with a rocket-making workshop for families.
This workshop explores space travel, conservation and how observing Earth can help us to save wild habitats.
Come with your family to design, build, and, most importantly, test a foam rocket, learn how satellites can help to save endangered species, take part in some Earth observations and visit our most famous nocturnal residents, the elusive aye-ayes.
